All 7 CAGED C Major Scales

The video above demonstrates all seven CAGED scales shapes for C Major played through sequentially.

These are the same seven major scale shapes that you learned individually.

C Shape
A Shape
G Shape (low octave)
G Shape (high octave)
E Shape (low octave)
E Shape (high octave)
D Shape

On the video the seven chord shapes are played first.

Then each scale shape is played using the 1358 ascending arpeggio and the descending 2467 arpeggio.

About 2 minutes into the video three CAGED spontaneous, improvised  melodies are demonstrated.

The separate scale patterns are diagrammed below as alternating 1358---2467 arpeggios.

Each pattern follows the one finger per fret convention that you learned with the support fingering article.

Also you have had opportunity to learn the seven fingering patterns in each separate article.

For that reason fingering information is not included here.
